Revision as of 13:39, 5 September 2026

Operational history of the Create Server

The current Create Server world opened on 26 August 2026. Its first week was marked by rapid modpack revision, multiple hosting changes, recurring network trouble, and the formation of two principal political blocs.

Opening period

Public Minecraft chat survives from 26 August. The first preserved message is dated 23:06 UTC.[1] The broad Discord group discussed the new map, player invitations, and the initial modpack. Fifteen accounts had joined by 31 August.

Hosting migrations

On 28 August, the server migrated to a new host. Participants repeatedly announced that it was down, almost ready, or back up. Additional migration work occurred by 31 August.

Modpack revisions

Players requested and tested many additions. Some updates were server-side, while others required a new client pack. Mismatched modpack versions caused at least one connection failure. The group also added death-chest behavior and changed keep-inventory settings after polls.

Crashes and testing

Spells from Ars Nouveau and related add-ons, heavy machinery, and ordinary server problems all caused or were blamed for crashes. Shiby conducted most cannon testing in a creative singleplayer world. No dedicated test server had been established by 31 August. The argument for keeping creative-mode tests away from the survival world concerned fairness, particularly after objections from Empire members that creative testing offered an unfair advantage.[2]

Early September

On 2 September, catgirlfeet confirmed the removal of magic mods after a player reported the loss of a vibranium pickaxe. She offered a netherite replacement. This was a later change from the failed blanket-removal poll of 30 August.[3]

Work expanded into custom in-game applications, including EPUB books, a library and a GIF picker. Catgirlfeet demonstrated a mining turtle on 4 September. At the same time, players continued reporting elevator faults, client problems and low server tick rates.[4]

5 September

The Chickaloon border dispute led to recognition of a new nation, while sleepslap1 joined and began establishing Missouri. Later mine explosions and retaliation prompted searches, repairs and proposals for selective restoration. See 5 September mine incident.[5]

Sophia and Jude also investigated performance problems around industrial machinery, reporting improved tick rates after machinery was stopped and excess items addressed. Jude began redesigning the installation. These chat reports document troubleshooting rather than a complete performance profile.[6]
