The Chickaloon border dispute was a disagreement on 5 September 2026 between catgirlfeet, other members of the DPRCH council, and the founders of Chickaloon, Tyson and Jude. It concerned their settlement near Cat Hill, earlier map changes, and whether the settlement could form an independent nation.[1]
Competing claims
Tyson maintained that Cat Hill representatives had agreed to revise the border and allow the settlement. Catgirlfeet argued that the area was Cat Hill territory and offered incorporation as a state or autonomous zone, relocation, or further confrontation. Shiby disputed the territorial claim and said that the council had not agreed on the land's status. Isaac summarized the disagreement as a border that had been moved, settled behind, and moved again.[2]
Council disagreement
Shiby emphasized collective decision-making. Catgirlfeet called for an emergency vote and moved part of the discussion to Discord diplomacy channels. Shiby announced an intention to leave Cat Hill at 02:12 and criticized the effect of the confrontation on trade negotiations. Catgirlfeet apologized for her treatment of Jude and Tyson and continued drafting an agreement. Shiby remained part of Cat Hill and signed the treaty as a Cat Hill representative at 03:34:56 UTC.[3][4][5]
Settlement negotiations
Catgirlfeet identified access to Spawn Island as the principal concern. Jude offered written transit guarantees, and catgirlfeet accepted that such a guarantee could support recognition and a territorial settlement. She began drafting the Treaty of Chickaloon, with continued trade and protection of neighboring land also discussed.[6]
Outcome
Tyson stated that the founders would sign, and catgirlfeet confirmed Chickaloon's recognition at 03:26 UTC. Signing instructions continued afterward. No troop movement or battle is established by this negotiation record. The later 5 September mine incident was a separate episode that renewed tensions.[7]
The resulting Treaty of Chickaloon was ratified through the electronic signing process. It establishes the territorial settlement, a 20-metre demilitarized zone and continuing railway access to Spawn Island, alongside trade and environmental provisions.[8][9][10]
