Revision as of 13:39, 5 September 2026
| Type | Server rules |
|---|---|
| Date | 28 August 2026 |
| Author | catgirlfeet, following broad-group discussion |
| Parties | All players |
| Purpose | Regulate griefing, exile, killing, and administrative item grants |
| Status | In force by 31 August 2026 |
The server rules were adopted in the broad group chat on 28 August 2026 after arguments about exile, griefing, creative-mode access, and the place of political conflict in ordinary survival play.
Baseline rules
The text proposed by catgirlfeet established four rules:
- No griefing unless both parties agree and the defenders are online.
- No exile without agreement from both parties.
- No random killing without an actual story context.
- No use of creative mode or give commands for an unfair material advantage, except when the same advantage is provided to everyone.
The group was asked to approve the rules unanimously. Responses were brief, but the same rules were reposted on 31 August and described as the only server rules.[1]
Public Minecraft chat later confirms the griefing rule in practice. When the possibility of striking the Cat Hill capital with a high-impact spell was raised, catgirlfeet replied that griefing without two-party consent could result in a ban.[2]
Recorded polls
| Date | Question | Recorded result | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|
| 29 August | Keep inventory on or off | On, 67% | Keep-inventory remained enabled |
| 30 August | Petition to remove all magic mods | Nay, 60% | The blanket removal proposal failed |
The exports do not preserve a complete voter roll in the poll summary, so percentages should not be treated as a census of the entire server.
Enforcement
Enforcement remained informal and administrator-led. The rules constrained roleplay rather than creating a full legal system. DPRCH discussions of a supreme or high court did not establish a server-wide judiciary.
September discussions
During the 5 September mine incident, players disputed whether traps were acceptable on a survival multiplayer server with keep-inventory enabled. Catgirlfeet and Sophia reiterated that destructive traps remained subject to the no-griefing rule. The exchange did not establish a new formal rule or a completed sentence.[3]
During the Chickaloon border dispute, council members also disagreed about whether boundary changes required collective approval. Catgirlfeet called for an emergency vote, and Isaac later said he had voted. The complete poll and vote count are not contained in Minecraft public chat.[4]
