The Treaty of Chickaloon is a ratified territorial, demilitarization, transit and trade agreement negotiated on 5 September 2026 between the DPRCH and Chickaloon. catgirlfeet proposed the title while drafting a settlement to the Chickaloon border dispute.[1]
Negotiations
Catgirlfeet opposed recognizing an independent state near Cat Hill's capitol and argued that its position could threaten access to Spawn Island. Jude offered to guarantee transport rights in writing. Catgirlfeet replied that a formal guarantee, together with assurances against explosions damaging Cat Hill land, would make a territorial agreement acceptable.[2]
Provisions
Territory and borders
Article I transfers the areas outlined in red in Annex I to Chickaloon, including a separately outlined island. Cat Hill retains its blue-outlined principal territory, the green-outlined Spawn Island Autonomous Region and the southern orange-outlined Cat Hill territory. Unmarked areas are not allocated. The parties must jointly record the corresponding in-world boundaries.[3]
Demilitarized zone
Article II establishes a 20-metre demilitarized zone along the marked section of the shared border, extending 10 metres onto each side. Armed forces, military installations, fortifications, weapons, military explosives, ammunition and exercises are excluded. Civilian access and peaceful infrastructure remain permitted. The drawn width on the map is illustrative, and neither party may unilaterally move or militarize the zone.[4]
Railway access
Article III grants Cat Hill continuing rights to construct, operate, maintain and use a railway through Chickaloon to Spawn Island. The right covers passengers, freight, workers and necessary infrastructure. Individual journeys do not require renewed permission, and closures or relocations require prior written diplomatic agreement.[5]
Environmental protection and trade
Article IV prohibits Chickaloon from causing harmful effects on Cat Hill's territory, structures or inhabitants, including explosions, flooding and pollution. Harmful activities must cease, with notification, containment and restoration or compensation arranged diplomatically. Article V provides free trade and peaceful commercial transit. Tariffs, quotas, embargoes and other restrictions require prior written agreement.[6]
Enforcement
Disputes are to be handled through authorized diplomatic representatives. Article VI permits Cat Hill to consider military action following a breach, but makes it a Council decision rather than an automatic consequence. Diplomacy, cessation, restoration and compensation remain alternatives. Amendments and exceptions require written agreement by both parties.[7]
Signing and ratification
The agreement circulated during the Chickaloon border dispute. Catgirlfeet posted the signing-site link through the Discord-to-Minecraft relay at 03:17:54 UTC and confirmed recognition of Chickaloon at 03:26. Signatures were collected separately from the Google Doc.[8]
The live signing register records the following entries. Times are UTC on 5 September 2026.

Article VII makes entry into force dependent on Council approval and acceptance by Chickaloon's governing authority. Catgirlfeet confirmed that the separate signing process supplied the approvals required for ratification. The Google Doc retains its draft label and incomplete signature fields, while the signing site contains the separate completed entries. The precise moment at which the required approval threshold was reached is not assigned here.[10][11]
Distinction from the earlier draft
This agreement is separate from the Draft Non-Aggression Treaty circulated on 28 August between the DPRCH and Jude's earlier group. That draft belongs to the initial Cat Hill-Empire Cold War.
The treaty was ratified through a separate electronic signing process. Its register records signatures from both Chickaloon founders and five Cat Hill participants.[12][13]
