Chickaloon is a nation on the Create Server established by Tyson and Jude on 5 September 2026. Its declaration followed a dispute over their settlement's proximity to Cat Hill and its relationship with the DPRCH. Tyson announced the name at 01:25 UTC. At 03:26, catgirlfeet answered affirmatively when he asked whether the group was recognized as a nation.[1]
Establishment
Tyson and Jude had built a settlement near Cat Hill. They maintained that earlier changes to the map permitted their occupation of the site, while catgirlfeet disputed their right to establish an independent nation there. Tyson described the settlement as their home and sought recognition rather than incorporation into Cat Hill. The disagreement became the Chickaloon border dispute.[2]
Government
Jude described the group's decision-making as collective: neither founder was to speak for everyone alone. Both he and Tyson participated in negotiations. Neither was assigned an imperial or presidential title in those discussions.[3]
Tyson specified that the country's name was simply Chickaloon, rejecting the description of its people as an Indigenous tribe or its territory as a reservation.[4]
Economy and transport
Jude reported producing bricks, iron and railway tracks. During the border negotiations, he said that he manufactured rails for Cat Hill's transport routes and offered written guarantees of passage through Chickaloon's territory. These proposals formed part of the Treaty of Chickaloon.[5]
Relations with Cat Hill
The two sides negotiated recognition, transit rights and safeguards against damage to neighboring land. Catgirlfeet began drafting an agreement at 02:09 UTC. Tyson subsequently said that both founders would sign, and the later exchange confirmed recognition. The Treaty of Chickaloon was ratified through a separate signing process.[6][7][8]
Later that morning, the 5 September mine incident strained relations. Sophia and catgirlfeet identified Jude as the owner of mines near Cat Hill and its portals. Retaliatory damage and restoration were subsequently discussed. The episode's reported actions are distinct from a formal declaration of war.[9]
Treaty territory and obligations
Annex I of the Treaty of Chickaloon assigns Chickaloon the red-outlined settlement territory and a separately outlined island. A 20-metre demilitarized zone straddles the marked shared border. The treaty grants Cat Hill continuous railway access through Chickaloon to Spawn Island, provides free trade and prohibits harmful cross-border effects. Breaches can prompt diplomatic remedies or Council-authorized military action, but do not automatically trigger war.[10]
