Server history
More actions
The surviving history of the Create Server begins on 26 August 2026. The first week was marked by rapid modpack revision, multiple hosting changes, recurring network trouble, and the formation of two principal political blocs.
Opening period
Public Minecraft chat survives from 26 August. The first preserved message is dated 23:06 UTC.[1] The broad Discord group discussed the new map, player invitations, and the initial modpack. Thirteen accounts had joined by 31 August.
Hosting migrations
On 28 August, messages in both chats document a migration to a new host. Participants repeatedly announced that the server was down, almost ready, or back up. Additional migration work occurred by 31 August. This wiki records the moves without publishing current network endpoints.
Modpack revisions
Players requested and tested many additions. Some updates were server-side, while others required a new client pack. Mismatched modpack versions caused at least one connection failure. The group also added death-chest behavior and changed keep-inventory settings after polls.
Crashes and testing
Spells from Ars Nouveau and related add-ons, heavy machinery, and ordinary server problems all caused or were blamed for crashes. Shiby conducted most cannon testing in a creative singleplayer world. No dedicated test server had been established by 31 August. The argument for keeping creative-mode tests away from the survival world concerned fairness, particularly after objections from trolling and Patty that creative testing offered an unfair advantage.[2]
