Cat Hill Library is a library developed by catgirlfeet in Cat Hill. It combines readable EPUB books with a searchable collection, a shelf map and borrowing accounts. Catgirlfeet described plans for the collection on 1 September and demonstrated its search and borrowing facilities to other players on 4 September.[1]
Development
The initial plan called for approximately 912 imported EPUBs, including socialist literature and other subjects. This was an announced target, rather than a verified final count of shelved books. Work continued on 3 September, when catgirlfeet said she was occupied with the library.[2]
Collection and access
By 4 September, the collection included fiction, political and historical writing, and religious works. Catgirlfeet mentioned the Quran, Bible, Taoist material, mythology and atheist literature. A library visit also included references to Dune and Nineteen Eighty-Four.[3]
Players could search for books and use a map to find them. Catgirlfeet offered Jude a library account for borrowing, indicating that access was not limited to Cat Hill members.[4]
Prayer room
A prayer area was proposed during discussion with Oxy on 4 September. Catgirlfeet reported it nearly finished at 05:35 UTC and showed Oxy the room and its Quran shelf later that morning.[5]
