The '''Draft Non-Aggression Treaty''' was a proposal circulated by [[SockMonkeyyy]] on 28 August 2026 between the [[Democratic People's Republic of Cat Hill]] and what the draft called “Jude's Nation,” later known as [[The Empire]].

== Background ==
The proposal followed the separation of Jude's group from Cat Hill and early discussion of fortifications and weapons. DPRCH council members had begun to treat the opposing settlement as a nation rather than as an individual player dispute.

== Terms ==
The draft proposed that both nations would:
* refrain from attack, raiding, griefing, and intentional killing
* respect each other's territory, property, and builds
* resolve disputes through peaceful discussion
* refuse to assist or encourage hostile action against the other
* keep the agreement in force until both nations mutually dissolved it

== Status ==
The exported message ends with blank fields for the DPRCH signature, Jude's Nation signature, and date.<ref>DPRCH Council chat, message by SockMonkey, 28 August 2026 at 01:54 UTC.</ref> Later broad-chat discussion says participants were “trying to sign” a pact. There is no surviving evidence that both sides completed ratification. This wiki therefore calls it a draft.

== Significance ==
The proposal shows that both sides recognized each other as political groups before most planned fortifications and weapons were completed. Its language also anticipated the later server rules on griefing and unauthorized violence.
